Michael G. Herrin Biographical Sketch
Rev. Herrin has degrees in American History from Washington and Lee University and Vanderbilt University.
He taught High School social studies and coached debate for three years
before attending Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi.
During seminary, he began preaching regularly at First Presbyterian Church
of Port Gibson, which called him to be its Pastor in 1997.
He has taught Bible and Social studies courses at Chamberlain-Hunt Academy
since that time, and serves the school as its Chaplain.
He is a member of the Presbytery of Mississippi and has served as Moderator of the Church Extension Committee,
the Finance Committee, and the Nominations Committee. The Presbytery selected him to be its Minister Commissioner
to the 2003 General Assembly. He will serve as the Presbytery's Moderator in the year 2009.
